How to get Skills

You will need tons of skills in order to breakout all equipped skills to Lv 7. Yeah tonssssss! x_x You also want to quickly find your next Haoshoku Haki, Shadow Asgard or Fire Body as fast as possible. But where to get them skills?


1. Farm Skills by Fragment Robbing

When you clear Sailing stages, you will sometimes come across skill fragment drops, and unlock a skill fragment robbing function. You can then farm the rest of the fragments by robbing

Robbing Opponents
There are 2 types of opponents you can rob from, Non-Player Characters (NPCs) and Plus OP players in the same server.

NPCs are generated by the game and they will always have the same Captain level as you. Their decks are generally weak, which will give you an easy walkover. You can quickly spot an NPC when you see that they are using A, B or even C-class heroes.

You can also rob another player's skill fragments, provided that they have the particular skill fragment in their inventory, and they are within 2 to 3 levels of your Captain level. However if the opponent is stronger than you, you will fail to rob his fragment.

NPCs are generally in abundance, so there isn't any real need to rob a real player's fragment. Well unless you are looking for trouble or don't really like your opponent. xD If you cannot find an NPC to rob from, just refresh your list for a bit.

If you win the battle, you get a chance to take your opponent's fragment. Otherwise, the game gives you a message saying that your opponent has fled, and you need to battle him again to earn another rob chance.

Once you have collected all fragments required, you can merge it to complete your skill. You can then find the skill in your Skill list.


Efficient Skill Farming
When you have unlocked 8 unique skill robbing functions, your game will consolidate all your skill fragment functions into a single window.

I personally find this much neater and easier to use, compared to having to switch between several skill windows.


"Stuck" Robbing Functions
After a while, you may find that certain of your skill fragment functions get 'stuck', i.e they remain in your window even after merging all of the fragments. This gives you the chance to rob and merge as many skills as your stamina allows you to.

However, these 'stuck' skill functions may also suddenly disappear after merging. We have yet to find out the reasons behind this, it could be a game bug, or it could be due to a certain algorithm in the game. A possible theory is that the game 'counts' the number of fragments you earn through sailing, and each fragment you earn gives you the chance to rob the rest of the fragments and merge 1 complete skill.

2. Merge Skill Drawings

3-Star Skill Drawings
Merging 35 drawings will randomly give you a A-class skill (passive or active). The fastest way to get these drawings is by attacking enemy ships at Nation War. Both attacking ships and opening of treasure chests may drop these drawings. They are also randomly dropped during fights at Cross Alliance Battles.Or you can buy them off the Mystery Shop with Gold.

4-Star Skill Drawings
Merging 50 drawings will randomly give you a S-class active skill. The farming methods of these drawings are the same as 3-Star Skill Drawings.

5-Star Skill Drawings
Merging 80 drawings will randomly give you a S-class passive skill. Before the release of Cross Alliance Battle, there is no way to farm these drawings except through rebates and events.

However, the drop rate for these drawings during Cross Alliance Battle fights is very low. You also need to be placed within top 7 individually, or top 6 as an Alliance in order to receive 5-star skill drawing rewards.



3. Kiss the Mermaid Princess

Kissing the Mermaid Princess may randomly reward you with a A or even S-class skills (both passive and active).

Getting S skills from the Mermaid is extremely rare, keep trying and good luck!!!


4. Open Wooden, Bronze, Silver and Golden Chests

It is possible to obtain B-class skills from these chests. However, I find them pretty lame and you are probably better off saving the chests for the next Beli Exchange event. *nosepick* >_>

6. Clear Orange Stages at Sailing Chapters

Certain orange and boss stages at Sailing have a chance to drop certain skills. If you are in need of skills, try to do stages that have double skill drops to increase your chances of getting one. You can check what skill rewards are available by opening the drop down menu in each stage.



7. Alliance Shop

If you haven enough Candies and Shop level, you can buy skills like Sandstorm, Soul Wind or even Ice Age in the Alliance Shop. These skills are quite expensive, and I would rather save the Candies for refine materials.
