Event Date & Timings: 31 January 17:00 - 01 February 16:50 (+8 GMT)
Refer to the Facebook post here for full details.
Some pointers:
For players who are VIP 3 and above, try to sail on blue Boss stages only, and use Gold to reset the Boss stages for repeat attempts (costs 5 Gold each). Due to the low drop rate, you will only spend more time and energy if you sail on Normal and/or Elite stages.
Not sure if I am considered lucky/unlucky, but I have used about 660ish energy and close to 500 Gold to get my Hawkins from Boss stages. (Well I guess 500 Gold is still considered acceptable, compared to 2 blank Logue Town Elite gate draws.) I used Robbery Cards to speed up the farming process too.
Here is my shiny new S Hero~! xD
Good luck to those of you who are trying to get Hawkins!!! xD
This is a guide for Plus One Piece. The content may crossover to Dream Pirates 3D (since Plus OP is a copy of DP after all) or Vietnam/other versions, but since I am playing Plus OP this guide will be mainly based on it.

Cheering Team
1. Combinations and Relationships
Heroes in the Cheering Team activate any combinations or relationships bonuses for heroes in the main team. For example, if you have Sanji and Zoro in your Cheering Team, Luffy will get a 33% Defense bonus in the main team.
You only have a maximum of 7 Cheering Slots, so you need to plan who you want to have in your main/Cheering team.
2. Cheering Stats
Each Cheering slot increases the stats of a certain attribute for your hero. The total amount of stats from the Cheering Team adds to the Combined Base Stats of your hero. (Refer to this guide on the calculation of Combined Base Stats here.)
Stats Effect of Cheering Slots at Lv 0
Slot 1 - HP 10%
Slot 2 - Defense 10%
Slot 3 - Attack 10%
Slot 4 - Haki 10%
Slot 5 - Defense 20%
Slot 6 - Attack 20%
Slot 7 - Haki 20%
Slots 1 to 4 increases 2% per level, while Slots 5 to 7 increases 1% per level.
It takes 2 Cheering Cards to upgrade the slot from Lv0 to Lv1. The next upgrade doubles to 4 cards, then 8 cards, then 16... The max level of Cheering Slots is.... sorry I don't really know what is the max level yet haha. If you have any more information to provide, do let us know! :)
Where does the % apply to?
For example, the first Cheering Slot gives 10% HP from your hero. Visit the training page of the hero in that Cheering slot to see how much potential stat is available in the HP attribute, and take 10% from that number.
The % only applies to the hero's potential stats in the specific attribute. Any other relationships or combinations will not increase the Cheering Stats.
Rolling your Stats for Cheering Team
For competitive PVP players, it is very important to max out the stats available for your Cheering Team. If your hero is in a HP slot, use Orbs to roll as much potential you can into the HP attribute to raise your main team's stats as much as possible.
However, you should only do so when you are VERY sure that you will no longer be making much changes to your team, because any changes that you make in future will cost you more Orbs, gold and time to re-roll your stats again.
Also, it is found that depending on the level of the hero, there is a hidden minimumand maximum stat for each attribute. Moreover, this minimum and maximum stat for the 4 attributes vary for each hero. This means that certain heroes can have a lower HP compared to other heroes, or certain heroes will be able to have a higher attack stat compared to other heroes.
(How did we come to deduce that there is a minimum/maximum stat? When rolling potential in training, it is found that sometimes the stats for a certain attribute cannot be decreased any further no matter how many times we try. Similarly, some found that it is nearly impossible to increase a stat of a certain attribute that they want. )
3. Where to get Cheering Cards
To unlock a Cheering Slot, you will need a Cheering Card each. To upgrade each slot, you need even more Cheering Cards. These cards are extremely rare to find in the game, and you will need either a lot of luck and patience, or a lot of money:

- Kiss the Mermaid Princess: So far I have only won 1 card from the Mermaid Princess, after about 6 months into playing this game. So yes, it is possible to get them from her!
- Daily Login lottery cards: I'm sure most of you have seen the Cheering Card icon before when you flip the cards on your first login daily. However I have never personally won a card from the daily login. Actually, I have never heard of ANYONE that has won a card from the daily login. -_-
- Mystery Shop: Cheering Cards are available for sale in the Mystery Shop. 1 Card for 2000 Gold, 2 Cards for 3400 Gold (thanks Emmett!), and lastly 3 Cards for 4800 Gold.
- Reaching VIP 4 rewards you with 1 Cheering Card.
- Events and Giveaway: End of last year in 2014, there was a massive Facebook event. Each player could redeem 3 Cheering Cards from Logue Town together with some other freebies. Stay tuned to the Facebook page for any updates on future events or giveaways.

I need Orbs!
After Gold and Belis, Orbs are our next best friend. We can't seem to get enough of them!
Where can I find more orbs?
1. Hunt and raid Rank S escorts (5 attempts available per day, approx 90 to a max of 200 Orbs per raid)
2. Get lucky and escort Rank S supplies. You can spend a bit of Gold to refresh the rank of your cargo and hope for a better escort.
3. Do all available Daily Missions and collect the orbs rewards
4. Take part in Demon Valley fights to earn a bit of orbs
5. Sailing stages, Fog, Marine bases in Adventure, Nation War and balloon shaking will randomly drop orbs.
6. Cross Alliance Server battles will also randomly drop orbs during fights. Top 10 players as well as Top 10 Alliances and their participating members will receive Orbs rewards.
7. The higher your rank in the Arena, the more points you can earn. Redeem these points for Orbs.
8. Drinking caps can also be exchanged for Orbs at Zoro's Pirate Bar.
9. There are periodic Orbs sales in Logue Town. Check the Plus OP Facebook page for any updates on these events/sales.
10. Equipment packs have a tiny chance to drop a complete equipment, a small chance to get some equipment fragments, or a fairly good chance to bag a ton of orbs. >_>
11. Failing to obtain a unique puzzle piece during Puzzle events will give you a consolation prize of 5 Orbs per attempt.
12. When you run out of Orbs during training, the game will prompt you with a popup. If you want to, you can choose to purchase more Orbs from Chopper. The first 100 Orbs cost 20 Gold, which is actually quite a good deal I think, although the price will increase for subsequent purchases.
Each of these methods may only bag you with a small number of orbs, but over time, they pile up and can amount to quite a number! So go ahead and grab as many of them as you can to roll your hero stats!

FAQ
Over time I see players ask the same questions over and over again in the main chat, so hopefully this list of FAQ may answer some of your nagging queries that you may have.
1. How to get VIP 3?
You need to purchase Gold with real money to go beyond VIP 2. When you are at VIP 2, you only need to buy a minimum of 100 Gold to reach VIP 3. Your first purchase will reward you with x3 Gold, so bear that in mind!
2. How to leave my current alliance?
Go to your alliance member list. Click on your name, and then leave.
3. How to get xxx hero?
Refer to the guide here and the heroes list here to see what are your options.
4. What is Vitality Soup for?
Clearing boss stages at Sailing will sometimes reward you with Trainers. After the training ends, use the Vitality Soup to get double exp for your heros.
5. Where to get Rubber Rocket?
The first Sailing stage to drop Rubber Rocket is Civil War - End (boss stage). You may also get lucky at merging 3-Star Skill Drawings or kissing the Mermaid Princess. The skill is also available in the Mystery Shop for a whopping price of 20m Belis.
6. I have been singing Luffy for ages, why can't I complete my last 5 souls of Ace?
You just have to be patient and grind it out. You may get one today, tomorrow, or not get any for a loooong time. My last Ace soul took me 3 weeks to sing!!!
Alternatively, if they are available for sale in the Mystery Shop or Nation War, you may wish to purchase your last 3 souls there to save time.
7. What is Robbery Card for?
The Robbery Card function replaces the old Sailing x10 option. When you clear a Sailing stage with 3 stars, you can use these cards to instantly clear the same stage again without fighting.
8. What is Hot Tea for?
When you have run out of free times to drink with Zoro, use the Hot Tea to get extra drink times. The number of extra times you can drink depends on your VIP level.
9. Its so hard to play this game without spending money!
True, higher VIP players will always be at an advantage, and that's how it works for any game. However this does not mean that FTP players are out of the running too. It just means you will face more challenges, and the road you walk will be longer.
10. What is the difference between VIP 2 and 3?
The main difference between VIP 2 and 3, is that VIP 3 players get access to the following features in the game: Auto battles in Fog, an extra Fog attempt with Sleepy Eye, tap to speed up battles, reset orange Sailing rounds with Gold, Quick Battle and Robbery Card function, extra drinking times with Hot Tea, extra Duet attempts with Snail Shells, extra escort attempt at Nation War trading, and buy extra 10 energy with 8 Gold during mealtimes.
11. Help!! Why are my heroes are stuck at xx level?
The maximum level of your heroes is 3 times your Captain's Level. Lets say if you are Lv 40, the maximum level your heroes can go is Lv 120.
12. What should I spend my Gold on? Is it worthwhile to use Gold to draw Heroes at Logue Town?
Unless you are a Cash player, or unless you are feeling really lucky, don't waste your Gold on Logue Town draws. You are better off saving your Gold for in-game events, or getting your last 3 souls from Mystery Shop/Nation War Pubs to complete your Hero recruitment.
Some of us at Vincere have a OCHD syndrome. Its called, Obsessive Compulsive Hoarder Disorder! xD For FTP players to survive in this game, we have to hoard everythingggggg. When I say everything, I really mean almost everything! Not just Gold, but Belis, Fishballs, Wine, Equipment, Chests, Drawings, Mystical Glass etc. You need to do your best to make sure that by the time the game releases the next event/feature, you will have enough resources to take part in them.
13. Where can I get more Snail Shells (for Singing)?
They are pretty rare but you have a chance to get them at Daily Login-flip cards, Robins Casino, Daily Sign, events/rebates. Or buy them at the Mystery Shop if you see them.
14. What is the Brush for?
It is used to refresh at the Mystery Shop without paying 20 Gold.
15. Why is it that some players in the Arena hit me first?
This is because they have higher morale than your team. Refer to this post here for more information on Morale and Titles.
16. How do I get Lv4 and 5 materials for crafting?
Splitting equipments gives you a chance to get these materials, when you split equipments of better grades, you will have a higher chance of getting better materials.
Why do you always use Ivankov in your examples?
Oh, because the main mascot in our alliance is an Okama king, ehh... I mean queen. xD
Okay okay, other than the last question, the rest are pretty much legit. xD If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to sound them out here! :)

Morale & Titles
You can earn titles by unlocking certain achievements in the game. These titles give you morale.
What does morale do?
When battling an opponent, whichever team has more morale will strike first.
How much morale do I have?
You can check how much morale your team has by visiting the formation tab in the Form section.
How to increase my team's morale?
Click on "All Titles" in the formation tab to view the list of all available titles and their morale boost. You can then click on the individual icons and read the descriptions and requirements.
The following list of titles gives morale permanently, i.e once unlocked, you get to keep the morale boost forever.
The following morale boosts are from Adventure (Discover New World) and Demon Valley. Each boost resets every 24 hours. You can see which boost is in effect by checking if the icon is lighted up. Expired boosts are darkened and turned off (refer to the above screenshots).
Titles from Adventure
You can have one of the following title/morale boost per day, depending on your Adventure ranking. The % boost is only applies to New World (whoops sorry for the previous error) only.
Titles from Demon Valley
Depending on your luck, you can get up to 3 title morale boosts per day from Demon Valley.
1) Last Hit on Boss - Dealing the finishing blow in Demon Valley earns you the title Execute for 24 hours, which gives you a temporary boost of 50 morale.
2) Ranks 1 to 5 - Placing top 5 per Demon Valley match earns you a title morale boost for 24 hours. There are 2 matches per day, so it is possible to get up to 2 different boosts. However, if you get the same ranking for both afternoon and evening Demon Valley matches, your current morale boost will only be extended for 24 hours, and you will not get 'double morale'.
Anyone knows that happens when 2 teams have the exact same morale? What is the tiebreaker then? Do share with us your information/screenshots if any! :)

Stats Calculation
Ever wondered why when you click on your Hero, there are 2 different stats for HP, Attack, Defense and Haki listed in the pop up window?
Take a look at this Ivankov:
For the sake of this post's explanation, we will call the stats in the left Wanted poster 'Overall Stats' and the stats on the right column 'Combined Base Stats'.
Combined Base Stats
This is the total stats from your Hero Potential Stat + Equipment + Shadow + Cheering. Just add up the stats for each attribute to get the exact number in the right column.
Overall Stats
This is the total stats from your Combined Base Stats + any % boosts from Equipped Passive Skills + Relationships + Warship.
Increasing the combined base stats of your hero can greatly improve your Hero's strength. This is important because any percentage boosts given in the game (Nation War blood boost, Demon Valley 20% attack boost, Adventure stat boost, Alliance stat upgrades etc) will only be based on the hero's combined base stats, NOT overall stats. It is therefore very worthwhile to spend more effort in rolling potential, upgrading your equipment, shadows and cheering stats.
Special thanks to Laoda and Merah for their contributions/findings during our stats calculation discussions! <3 xD

How to get Skills
You will need tons of skills in order to breakout all equipped skills to Lv 7. Yeah tonssssss! x_x You also want to quickly find your next Haoshoku Haki, Shadow Asgard or Fire Body as fast as possible. But where to get them skills?
1. Farm Skills by Fragment Robbing
When you clear Sailing stages, you will sometimes come across skill fragment drops, and unlock a skill fragment robbing function. You can then farm the rest of the fragments by robbing
Robbing Opponents
There are 2 types of opponents you can rob from, Non-Player Characters (NPCs) and Plus OP players in the same server.
NPCs are generated by the game and they will always have the same Captain level as you. Their decks are generally weak, which will give you an easy walkover. You can quickly spot an NPC when you see that they are using A, B or even C-class heroes.
You can also rob another player's skill fragments, provided that they have the particular skill fragment in their inventory, and they are within 2 to 3 levels of your Captain level. However if the opponent is stronger than you, you will fail to rob his fragment.
NPCs are generally in abundance, so there isn't any real need to rob a real player's fragment. Well unless you are looking for trouble or don't really like your opponent. xD If you cannot find an NPC to rob from, just refresh your list for a bit.
If you win the battle, you get a chance to take your opponent's fragment. Otherwise, the game gives you a message saying that your opponent has fled, and you need to battle him again to earn another rob chance.
Once you have collected all fragments required, you can merge it to complete your skill. You can then find the skill in your Skill list.
Efficient Skill Farming
When you have unlocked 8 unique skill robbing functions, your game will consolidate all your skill fragment functions into a single window.
I personally find this much neater and easier to use, compared to having to switch between several skill windows.
"Stuck" Robbing Functions
After a while, you may find that certain of your skill fragment functions get 'stuck', i.e they remain in your window even after merging all of the fragments. This gives you the chance to rob and merge as many skills as your stamina allows you to.
However, these 'stuck' skill functions may also suddenly disappear after merging. We have yet to find out the reasons behind this, it could be a game bug, or it could be due to a certain algorithm in the game. A possible theory is that the game 'counts' the number of fragments you earn through sailing, and each fragment you earn gives you the chance to rob the rest of the fragments and merge 1 complete skill.
If you know what is going on, do sound us out! :)
For a consolidated list of skill fragment drops by Sailing stages, click here.
(If you are able to provide any of the missing information in the table, do drop a buzz with a screenshot and I will be sure to credit accordingly! Thank you!)
2. Merge Skill Drawings
3-Star Skill Drawings
Merging 35 drawings will randomly give you a A-class skill (passive or active). The fastest way to get these drawings is by attacking enemy ships at Nation War. Both attacking ships and opening of treasure chests may drop these drawings. They are also randomly dropped during fights at Cross Alliance Battles.Or you can buy them off the Mystery Shop with Gold.
4-Star Skill Drawings
Merging 50 drawings will randomly give you a S-class active skill. The farming methods of these drawings are the same as 3-Star Skill Drawings.
5-Star Skill Drawings
Merging 80 drawings will randomly give you a S-class passive skill. Before the release of Cross Alliance Battle, there is no way to farm these drawings except through rebates and events.
However, the drop rate for these drawings during Cross Alliance Battle fights is very low. You also need to be placed within top 7 individually, or top 6 as an Alliance in order to receive 5-star skill drawing rewards.
3. Kiss the Mermaid Princess
Kissing the Mermaid Princess may randomly reward you with a A or even S-class skills (both passive and active).
Getting S skills from the Mermaid is extremely rare, keep trying and good luck!!!
4. Open Wooden, Bronze, Silver and Golden Chests
It is possible to obtain B-class skills from these chests. However, I find them pretty lame and you are probably better off saving the chests for the next Beli Exchange event. *nosepick* >_>
5. Roll the Dice at Robin's Casino
Refer to the guide on Robin's Casino here. (coming soon)
6. Clear Orange Stages at Sailing Chapters
Certain orange and boss stages at Sailing have a chance to drop certain skills. If you are in need of skills, try to do stages that have double skill drops to increase your chances of getting one. You can check what skill rewards are available by opening the drop down menu in each stage.
7. Alliance Shop
If you haven enough Candies and Shop level, you can buy skills like Sandstorm, Soul Wind or even Ice Age in the Alliance Shop. These skills are quite expensive, and I would rather save the Candies for refine materials.

Skill Breakout
So you have obtained a new nifty skill and want to level it up?
Skill breakout basically works like this, you feed a skill other skills until it meets a quota and levels up.
All skills begins at Lv 1. Max skill level is currently capped at Lv 7.
The requirements for each level breakout is as follows:
There are only 5 available feed slots, so you can only feed a maximum of 5 skills per attempt. However each attempt is recorded in the game, so do not worry if you find that your first attempt is unable to hit the quota of 50%.
So how do you keep track of 50%?
Take for example you have a Lv 4 Holy Thunder, and you want to breakout the skill to level 5:
In the first attempt, 5 A-class skills amounts to 23%. Press Breakout and the attempt fails.
In the second attempt, another 5 A-class skills amounts to 23%. Press Breakout and the attempt fails again. Total percentage reached: 46%
In the third attempt, one B-class skill is fed at 3%. Total percentage reached is now at 49% which is near/passes the minimum quota. Breakout is successful and skill levels up to 5! =D
For Lv 5 to 6, you need a minimum of 13 A skills + 1 B skill.
For Lv 6 to 7, you need a minimum of 14 A skills. Sometimes it may require 15 or 16 skills, so if the breakout still fails after 14, simply feed it another skill and see if the next attempt passes the quota.
If at any point in time you lose track of the percentage, or how many skills you have fed, just attempt to breakout the skill be feeding it one skill at a time, and it will eventually succeed.
Because skill breakout is quota based, there is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to feed your S-class skills to other skills, unless you have too many of them and cannot wait to get rid of your extra purples. Lol. xD
UPDATE: SS skills follow the same 50% for level 1 to 5. Levels 5 to 6 and 6 to 7 will require just a bit more A class skills. (Thanks Sebi!)

About Skills
(If you'd like to, you can refer to the 'official' skill guide by Dream Pirates here.)
1. Grade of Skills
Grades of skills are classified into C, B, A and S. S-grade skills are presumably the best skills in the game.
2. Passive and Active Skills
There are 2 types of skills, Passive and Active skills.
Passive skills increase or decrease a certain stat when equipped. E.g. Fire Body gives a 32% boost in attack at lv 7.
Active skills deal damage when heroes cast them during their turn in battles.
3. Active Skill Cast Rates
The skill guide by DP states that there are 5 different cast rates, however, I can only find 3 of the following cast rates among all skill flavor texts in the game:
- Hard to Cast
- Easy to Cast
- Very Easy to Cast (only available in C grade skills)
Casting rates of skills are very subjective, and can vary from player to player. Some players may find that their hero tends to cast Meteor Volcano more often than Shadow Asgard. Others feel that Ice Age have a higher cast rate compared to other skills.
Here are some rumors/myths/theories of skill casting rate thrown out by players:
- the higher the skill level, the higher the cast rate
- the higher the morale, the higher the cast rate
- the greater the affinity between the hero and the skill, the higher the cast rate
These theories have yet to be tested/proven, and till then, they remain as rumors. If you want to improve your skill casting rate in your battles, try any of the following:
- Choose an Easy to Cast skill instead of a Hard to Cast skill
- Equip another active skill if possible, to increase your chance of casting
4. Single & Multi Target
There are 2 types of active skills, Single Target and Multi Target skills.
Single Target Skills
These skills deal damage directly on the opposite enemy in the formation. The damage can be calculated with this formula: Attack + (Skill Bonus % x Haki) - Opponent's Defense.
Take for example this Ivankov is equipped with a Lv 7 Shadow Asgard (202%). If the opponent's defense is 10k, the total damage would be: 3306 + (2.02 x 7201) - 10000 = 7852
Multi Target Skills
These skills have an area of effect (AOE), i.e. they deal damage to all opponents in the formation. The opponent directly opposite the hero that casts the skill gets the most damage, and subsequently the damage gets reduced for every opponent beside him.
According to the guide on Dream Pirates, the damage distribution is as follows:
70%——60%——50%——40%——33%——26%——21%——16%
For example, if a hero on the 1st slot casts a multi skill, the damage distribution will be:
5. Single vs Multi Skill
Single target skills tend to have a higher percentage bonus at higher levels. Meteor Volcano Lv7 has the highest percentage bonus at 218%.
On the other hand, multi skills tend to have a lower percentage bonus even at higher levels. A Lv 7 Haoshoku Haki only fetches 42% haki bonus.
Therefore due to the damage formula, high haki heroes tend to favor single target skills, while multi skill works best with a high attack hero.
For example, if the same Ivankov above casts a Haoshoku Haki instead of a Shadow Asgard, the damage calculated on a 10k defense opponent would be 3306 + (0.42 x 7201) - 10000 = -3670. Since its a negative value, Ivankov will only deal 1 damage to the opponent! :'(
6. Skill Slots
Each hero has 1 innate skill and 2 skill slots. You can equip any skill you have in your inventory into these 2 slots, however a hero cannot wear more than one of the same skill.
7. Skill Breakout

How to get S class Heros
S class heros are our main lifeline in the game, so you would want to be able to collect as many of them as you can!
Here are the known ways of getting your next shiny purple.
1. Logue Town
You get 1 free draw every 24 hours at the middle Senior gate, and 1 free draw every 72 hours at the Elite gate. Chances of drawing a S hero are pretty slim, so keep trying your luck!
You can also choose to pay gold for extra draws, or even attempt the x10 draws, but be prepared to return empty handed as the drop rate for S heros are very low.
Once you have drawn a certain S hero, you will notice that you may draw him/her again repeatedly.
How do you know if you have drawn a new S hero when you see the purple gate? If the "Hero Recruitment" notification pops out on the top of your screen, congratulations you have bagged a new character!
Sometimes Plus OP releases Logue Town recruitment events where every draw you make at the Senior/Elite door, you get to spin a roulette for a chance to get a couple of specified S class hero souls.
2. Singing with Brook
Everyday you get one free duet with Brook. Each S hero may sing another specific hero. You can attempt to sing and collect 30 souls to complete a new S hero. At higher VIP levels, you can use Snail Shells (available in Robin's Casino and Daily Sign-In) for extra singing tries.
The drop rate of your target hero souls drops sharply as you are nearing 30 souls. The last couple souls may take days or even weeks for a single drop. You either just have to grind it out, or you may choose to purchase the last 3 souls off the Mystery Shop/Nation War if they do sell them.
3. Mystery Shop
Certain S class souls are available for sale in the Mystery Shop. They usually come in 1, 3, 10 or 30 soul options. Most of them require Gold, but some heros can also be bought with Belis.
4. Nation War Treasure Hunt
You get 1 free attempt to hunt for treasure every 10 minutes on any island in Nation War. While hunting for treasure you may come across 4 or 5 Star Pubs, and when you enter the shop you may get to purchase S hero souls with gold or Mystical Glass.
5. Marine G Bases
As you clear Sailing stages, you will get to unlock Marine G bases in the Adventure tab. Certain bases may drop packs that gives you a chance to grab a specific S class soul. You get 1 free attempt per base each day. Extra attempts can be bought with gold.
The drop rate for the S souls are almost equivalent to Singing with Brook. The closer you are to 30, the rarer the drop.
6. Events
From time to time Plus OP will release certain events for players to farm S class heros. They can be Sailing Events, Mystery Shop events, Logue Town Recruitment events, Giftpack events or Rebates. Check out their Facebook page for updates on the upcoming events available.
